Many of my photographs are surrealistic or abstract. That allows me to explore what is before me without being bound by the “rules” of documentary photography. Through surrealism, I can express unconventional visions and find unique beauty and ideas in commonplace surroundings and activities. In addition, the viewer is not bound by the expectation that I am adhering to reality.
My photographs have been exhibited in several locations including the Stirling Gallery in Florida, The Holder Dane Gallery in Texas and several times at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. They were selected in juried competitions for display at the Star Spangled Enamored Art Exhibit in Clearwater, Florida, at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre and at the Tampa Regional Artists Bay Area (TRA) art show. I was awarded the certificate of merit in photography at the TRA show. In addition, my images have been exhibited at the Grapevine Art Dealers "Taste of Art" Gallery Night in Texas and in art shows in Florida. During January, 2019, several of my photographs will be displayed at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts.
